The KG810 has looks that demand attention. Boasting a smooth, polished black exterior that glistens with quality; the KG810 hides a colour screen and touch-sensitive music buttons that lets you control your music whilst the phone is closed. With no physical buttons to clutter the exterior of the phone the KG810, at just 14.6mm thick, truely is a slender phone. Open the handset and you will discover a large, vibrant colour screen with an easy to use keypad.

Using the successful technology used on the LG Chocolate (KG800 - world’s first on a mobile phone) the KG810 incorporates touch sensitive music controls on the exterior of the handset. These buttons glow red when active and will not activate by standard items touching them. Music controls disappear when not in use, leaving a clean, exterior finish.

The phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera which provides the user with a imaging feature complete with auto focus & 21 x progressive digital zoom. The user can take & store photos as JPEG files. The camera feature can take photos up to 1280 x 960 in size which the user can select using the photo effects & sizes. The user can select a multi shot mode which allows the user to capture nine consecutive shots when the user presses the camera button one single time. The user can store their photos in the LG KG810’s photo album & share their photos with friends using MMS messaging. The camera feature can switch to a video feature which can store & capture video in MPEG4 format. The user can play video footage on their LG KG810 & use the video setting options when recording video footage.

Flip open the phone and you will be greeted with a white backlit keypad. The keys are flat but fortunately big enough to allow comfortable and speedy typing. LG has coated the keys in alternating glossy and matte black in a chessboard pattern, allowing you to better differentiate between them. The 5-way navigational d-pad is flanked by the left and right soft keys, as well as the dedicated MP3 and camera keys. The call and end keys flank the clear key just below the d-pad. Overall, the keypad worked well and I have no complaints here.
