The M6100 features a stylish, slim and compact slider design. 262,000 colour TFT screen displays vibrant images. Resolution display of 128 x 160 pixels. Download and listen to music with the built-in MP3 player. Don’t settle for boring polyphonic ringtones, select an MP3 as your ringtone. (Also supports AAC, AAC+, AAC++, WMA and WAV formats) Don’t miss those moments by recording video clips and recall those memories or share them with others by playing them back with the built in video camera function. The M6100 is also designed with an external button to access the MP3 player, camera and video camera functions quickly and more conveniently.

The phones graphite grey finish does look durable and we were left with an impression of a solid handset. The sliding mechanism worked without any problems and the phone doesn’t seem to attract many fingerprints or smudges. The M6100 controls are fairly standard: there are two selection keys, a 5-way navigational pad with shortcuts, answer and end Call keys and a clear button. The user interface is a fresh looking 3 x 3 grid layout, but a larger display would have enhanced the user experience. As it stands the M6100 display is one of the smallest we’ve seen.

Positioned on the front of the handset is the main 128×160 pixel screen, and just under this is the directional pad surrounded by five buttons – initiate call, hang up, two soft menu buttons and a cancel button. When slid open, the phone exposes the hidden twelve button keypad. On the back side of the slider are the 1.3 Megapixel camera, LED light and mirror for taking self portraits. On the back is the battery which can be unclipped and also doubles up as the phones back panel, and beneath that is the traditional hiding spot for the SIM card. On either side of the handset you’ll find a headset jack, multimedia keys and volume up/down control. The bottom side of the handset includes the proprietary interface for connecting the charger and connecting the phone to a PC.
